Opcondys is pleased to be working with graduate students from the University of California through the Haas School of Business Energy Institute’s Cleantech to Market Program. This collaboration will provide the students with experience in evaluating clean technology and determining its market while providing Opcondys with valuable information on the markets for the opticondistor and the transformerless grid-tied energy storage inverter.
Cleantech to Market (C2M) is a partnership between graduate students, entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry professionals to help accelerate the commercialization of emerging cleantech. In the process, the program also trains innovative cleantech leaders. C2M identifies promising cleantech innovations then selects graduate students from over 20 UC Berkeley disciplines, including business, engineering, science, law, policy, and the Energy and Resources Group to form commercialization teams. C2M matches their academic and work experience with each project. Leading cleantech professionals support the teams with deep subject matter expertise (e.g., energy generation, efficiency, storage, and transportation, green chemistry, water purification, grid operations, economics, early stage venture, and much more). They help guide the students as speakers, mentors, and contacts. Students experience the rewards and challenges of taking cleantech to market; entrepreneurs and researchers gain valuable market feedback on their technologies and business plans; and professionals engage with fresh talent and new ideas.
Opcondys is excited to work with this team over the next several months.
