Opcondys
Opcondys, Inc. is an early stage start-up founded to develop the optical transconductance varistor (OTV) for the power electronics market. Leveraging almost a decade of government research and investment of over $20 million, Opcondys will produce this unique power electronic device with greater power capability, lower manufacturing cost and faster development time than standard power devices. Our aim is to supply the OTV to a wide variety of Original Equipment Manufacturers for power switching and control.
Our Story
The Opticondistor technology originated at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Opcondys has licensed the patent rights to the technology from LLNL for use in power electronics. Our technical team is led by the inventor of the opticondistor and is actively pursuing development of the device for the power electronics market.
