Opcondys, Inc. is one of the first recipients of a CalSEED grant. The California Sustainable Energy Entrepreneur Development Initiative (CalSEED) is a funding and professional development program for innovators and entrepreneurs working to bring early-stage clean energy concepts to market. CalSEED is a funding initiative of the California Energy Commission (CEC). Eight companies were selected in the first round of funding from a high volume of applications. The $150,000 grant will provide funding to accelerate development of the opticondistor for improvement of energy efficiency in electric power applications and also business mentorship to assist in bringing it to market.
